Jeannie Mantopoulos

Assistant Director, Yale GHLI

Jeannie Mantopoulos is the Operation Lead for the LMG Project. She will be directing implementation activities for the project. Jeannie currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute (GHLI). At the Yale GHLI, Jeannie manages operations for the annual GHLI conference, coordinates the Strategic Thinking in Global Health course at Yale, and leads other efforts on campus. Previously, Ms. Mantopoulos served as project manager for the Ethiopia Hospital Management Initiative (EHMI) where she managed the Master in Healthcare and Hospital Administration Program at Jimma University in Ethiopia – the first hospital and health care administration master’s degree program in Africa. Her work at EHMI also included support for the revision of the “Blueprint for Hospital Management in Ethiopia,” writing grant applications and development of monitoring and evaluation tools, including a standardized patient satisfaction survey for Ethiopian hospitals. She is a graduate of the CUNY Honors College at Hunter College and received an M.P.H. from the Yale School of Public Health. She is a member of the International Advisory Committee for the World of Children, Inc. and has contributed to several papers regarding the education in hospital management. Contact: [email protected]
