The Leadership, Management, and Governance (LMG) Project
The U.S. Agency for International Development-funded Leadership, Management, and Governance Project strengthens health systems to deliver more responsive services to more people. We do this by developing inspired leaders, sound management systems, and transparent governance practices at the individual level and with networks, organizations, and governments. The LMG Project builds on 30 years of the best thinking and practices from organizational development to empower health leaders, managers, and teams to meet and master their most pressing challenges.
The LMG Project Mission
The LMG Project improves leadership, management and governance practices to strengthen health systems and improve health for all, including vulnerable populations worldwide.
The LMG Project Vision
The LMG Project seeks to create a world in which health leaders, managers, and governors are highly valued, and where inspired leadership, sound management, and transparent governance lead to better health outcomes for all.
The LMG Project approaches this vision through four main pillars:
- Leadership and governance
- Local ownership for local results
- Knowledge exchange and measurement
- Gender equity
