Stephanie H. Calves

Deputy Country Portfolio Director

Stephanie Cálves is the Deputy Country Portfolio Director, Program Management, in the Center for Leadership and Management at MSH. She provides project management leadership for projects in Afghanistan, Tanzania, and Zambia and technical expertise on organizational development, capacity building, governance, and management. In 2012, she joined MSH from Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), where she was the Senior Officer for Affiliation and Organizational Development. In that role she supported the establishment and management of EGPAF’s local affiliates in Tanzania, Mozambique, and Cote d’Ivoire and the transition of a PEPFAR Track 1.0 HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment program to local partners in 5 countries. She also provided expertise in the areas of capacity building and organizational development of local NGOs and decentralized health authorities to manage HIV/AIDS programs in Africa. Ms. Cálves has served as the Policy Advisor for the Harvard PEPFAR program in Nigeria, supported program management, organizational development, grants management, clinical quality improvement programming, and research ethics related activities. Ms. Cálves has practiced law in the areas of commercial litigation, medical malpractice, and employment law. Ms. Cálves has a B.S. from Cornell University, a J.D. from Villanova University, and an M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
