The AIDED model posits five interrelated components that are essential to the complex process of scale up: 1) assess the landscape, 2) innovate to fit, 3) develop support, 4) engage user groups, and 5) devolve efforts for spreading the innovation. The AIDED model traces the full arc of dissemination, diffusion, and scale up, offering novel insights into the dynamics of spread. It can be considered in design and implementation of programs.
