Megan Kearns

Project Director

Megan Kearns is the Acting Project Director for the Leadership, Management, and Governance (LMG) Project. Megan is a skilled technical program manager with 20 years of experience in project development, implementation, and evaluation. She worked in public health programming for much of this time, including nine years supporting and managing international HIV/AIDS programs and five years with Texas’ state family planning program. From August 2013 to January 2016, Megan served as the LMG Project’s Deputy Director. Prior to joining the LMG Project, she was the Senior Technical Director for the USAID-funded Guyana HIV/AIDS Reduction and Prevention Project, which focused on building national capacity in HIV prevention and care. As a USAID Global Health Fellow, she worked from 2007–2011 as a Senior HIV/AIDS Regional Advisor in the Office of HIV/AIDS, where she supported programs in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and South Sudan. Megan has master’s degrees in Latin American Studies and Communication from the University of Texas at Austin. She speaks Spanish. Contact:
